Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Two built-in sensors, one in the lid, one in the base, continuously monitor steam and heat as your grains cook, adjusting the temperature profile in real time. The result is light, fluffy rice with a consistent texture, from the first cup to the last.
In Quick Cook mode, the fuzzy logic monitors both time and temperature to dial in your grains profile. With all other modes, fuzzy logic keeps an eye only on the temperature (the cook time is preset to give you optimal results).
It depends on how much you care about the result. A standard rice cooker turns on, heats up, and turns off. Fuzzy logic adjusts the temperature throughout the cook (and in Quick Cook mode, it adjusts time, as well), so the grain profile is constantly monitored to achieve ideal texture and consistency. For anyone who eats rice regularly, the difference is noticeable.
Instead of following a fixed timer, Quick Cook uses fuzzy logic to read your batch size and determine the right time and temperature for it. It cooks white and brown rice up to 20% faster on average than the standard modes. Grains come out slightly firmer since the soak cycle is skipped, but it's a reliable option when time is short.
Yes. Use the Oatmeal preset for porridge and oats, or select Custom mode, adjustable from 5 minutes to 2 hours in 1-minute increments, for quinoa, farro, barley, congee, and more.
Yes. Our ceramic nonstick coating is highly durable and designed for daily use. To maximize its lifespan, use the included beechwood paddle or silicone utensils (avoid metal tools).
The 6-cup cooked capacity is a comfortable fit for two to four people. You can cook as little as 1 cup or as much as 6, so it works well for a solo meal or a family dinner.
Keep Warm activates automatically once cooking finishes and holds your grains at serving temperature for up to 24 hours, programmable in 30-minute increments. Pair it with the Delay Timer and your rice is ready when you sit down, whether that's in an hour or at the end of a long day.
