The caramel notes of dates make for a deliciously rich dessert or a "just because" treat. Just don’t forget to get all the pits out before you blend.

Serves 1


  • 1/2 cup Medjool dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream


  • Place dates, milk, nutmeg, and cinnamon in the 750 ml vessel.
  • Place on the blender base and blend till smooth.
  • Add in ice cream and blend on low till smooth. Serve immediately.


Note: Milk and ice cream can be swapped for equal amounts of vanilla-almond or oat milk and lactose-free or vegan ice cream.
