FAQs
All items are sent to a metal and cardboard recycling facility. The metal is smelted and cardboard shredded and compacted. We have partnered with a California based recycling facility that specializes in cookware recycling.
Standard curbside recycling may not accept all types of cookware and it may end up in the landfill. We ensure it gets to the appropriate facilities that are specialized in recycling non-stick cookware.
- Most Non Stick Cookware coated with polytetrafluoroethylene (or PTFE) cannot be recycled until the coating has been removed. Importantly, Our Place does not use any PTFE or PFOAs (perfluorooctanoic acid) which makes it entirely safe, but also easier to recycle.
- Our Place nonstick products are featuring Thermakind™ — our exclusive, most advanced, 50% longer lasting ceramic nonstick coating made without potentially toxic materials like PFAS (including PTFEs and PFOAs), lead and cadmium.
We’re providing you the code upfront so you can place your order and use the shipping box for your new product to ship the old one back to us! Otherwise any box will do. If you’re using your own, please be sure to send us the length, height and width of the box so we can ensure the prepaid label is accepted.

Yes please! The cookware should be washed and is clean of all food and grime. It is expected that the product may have some wear and tear.
