Lavender Oatmeal Cookies
Recipe from Darlene Yu
When I was younger, I loved experimenting with different oatmeal cookie flavors—cookies that felt like home. One day, I decided to try lavender oatmeal cookies, and my partner said, "If I could taste the color purple, this is what it would taste like!" We shared a good laugh, and I even got a little teary-eyed. That moment captured the essence of home and is a memory I’ll always treasure. Since then, these cookies have become a staple in our household.

- 2 1/2 cups Quick Oats
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 2 sticks Butter (unsalted)
- 2 cups Brown Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

- 2 tablespoons Lavender Buds
Directions
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350° F.
Step 2
Melt 2 sticks of butter in the microwave.
Step 3
Combine the melted butter with the other ingredients, mixing until it reaches a cookie dough consistency.
Step 4
Place the oven mat on the griddle pan—no additional sprays or oils are needed.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Step 7
Transfer the cookies to a cooling rack and let them rest for 5 minutes.
Step 8
Enjoy with loved ones.
